These ESE filters baskets are for the UNIC: Phoenix, Pony Espresso and Pony "T"

These are OEM replacements for the filter holders.

The original screens were # 2 and made for a 35cc pour within 25 sec

If you wish a shorter pour, use filter size #1 and conversely if you are looking for a longer pour, use filter size #3.

The idea behind the different filter sizes is to keep the extraction time constant (25 sec) while changing the volume of the pour.

TIP: To prevent the filters from falling off, place the filter vertically on a hard surface and with a blunt edge (screwdriver handle is great) hit the outer lip of the filter so as to create a little indentation.  Repeat this procedure around the filter three or four times spacing the indentations evenly.  Eventually the pinching effect will cause the filter to "snap" on the retaining ring on the portafilter.
