Easy Caffe Espresso Pods
Easy Caffè was born late 1999 from a desire to find an alternative to the large Italian coffee roaster's taste profile. The goal was to find something less bitter and sharp for the American palate. We went to different custom roasters in Italy in multiple regions to find something that was closer to what we considered the ideal blend. We found lots of traditional roasters that still handle their roasting and bean selection the old fashion way, no electronic sensors or fluid beds, just old style drum roasters and degassing silos. These were roasters who took time to hand roast, mature the coffee, and treat it with respect.
What makes Italian coffee special is not just the fact that it comes from abroad, but that years of testing and drinking has formulated an art. This is not the world of single or double origin blends but rather a half dozen or so blends/origins from all four corners of the world. Just like wine, its the complexity of the blend that makes for a truly pleasurable taste experience. From the aroma to the instant and residual taste experience, this is what make true Italian coffee different from the rest of the crowd.
Call it passion or just the love of the experience, there is no such thing as the "best" coffee, just as there is no such thing as the "best" wine. It is a matter of personal preference in addition to using the best products and using time tested traditional methods of processing. Our aim is not necessarily to be the largest or the best, but rather, our goal is to bring you premium espresso pods, generally only reserved to high end Italian restaurants that use high priced whole bean blends. We asked Pro Caffe Spa of Belluno, Italy to make these pods from their top-of-the-line beans. The result is a true ESE specification espresso pod with a taste profile akin to a fine "Reserve" wine. This is not the bitter, espresso that is most common, but the real fine coffee tasting espresso. Give it a try, you'll be surprised. If you are looking for the palate ripping espresso, this is not it.
